All Thorowgood saddles feature a quick change gullet bar system which enables you to alter the width of your saddle to best fit the profile of your horse’s withers.
If you have a square cantled saddle, then your saddle will be fitted with an ‘S’ type gullet bar and if your saddle has a round cantle, it will be fitted with an ‘R’ type gullet bar. The following sizes are available:

Changeable Gullet Bar
Quick change gullet bar system alters the width of your saddle to best fit the profile of your horse’s withers.
Step 1
Use the hex key to remove the screws at the front of each panel
Step 2
Slide the panel off the point of the tree
Step 3
Unscrew all four bolts in the gullet bar and remove the gullet bar
Step 4
Insert different width of gullet bar with the alignment marker stamped on the gullet bar pointing towards the pommel. Insert all 4 bolts by hand and then secure firmly
